What is Teak?

Teak is a gorgeous and durable hardwood that is designed to last for many years to come. One of the greatest things about teak is that it requires little to no maintenance, and best of all, you do not have to worry about storing it. All of our teak furniture is made from Grade A platinum grown teak timber. The natural oil in teak keeps the wood from splitting and you will have the same smooth finish for generations to come.

Weathered Finish

If your teak furniture is left unfinished, it will turn into a silvery patina color. This process usually happens within a year’s time, depending on exposure to the sunlight, although rain and snow will affect this process.

Please note that when it is exposed to water, the teak wood will expand and contract just like any other wood. However, it will not affect the durability of the wood.
If you would like to take the weathered look of your furniture back to its original look, please use teak cleaner. You may use this as often as you like.
If the original look is what you were going for all along, please use our teak protector. This must be applied about every 6 months.

Care and Maintenance

The only maintenance you need to do for your teak furniture is your occasional cleaning. We recommend that you use a soft bristle brush along with a little bleach mixed with dish soap or laundry detergent. After cleansing, then rinse off the loose particles. If more cleaning is needed, we recommend using a teak cleaner, but please note this will restore your furniture to its original look.
